A Petition to Bishop Charles Grahmann
We, the undersigned, as a matter of individual conscience and as an act of solidarity with the universal Church, have resolved that our Diocese of Dallas can endure no more of the scandal, embarrassment, and financial hazard it has suffered under the tenure of Charles Grahmann as Bishop of Dallas. In keeping with the responsibility laid upon us by the Church Fathers as a faithful community of laity, religious, and clergy, we therefore petition you, Excellency, to end this crisis and to uphold the dignity of your episcopal office by resigning it immediately.

At the separate web site, www.wearethechurch.org, an independent attempt is being made to document some of the recent history of the Dallas Diocese that has led to the painful request by so many devoted Catholics for Bishop Grahmann’s resignation. That web site includes links to many of the documents that are part of this history. This documentation attempt and the www.wearethechurch.org web site are both independent of the Committee of Concerned Catholics and not necessarily endorsed by them. We are simply all working and praying toward the same goal.
